Parking I have not enjoyed reprise

And you thought I was joking when I said there would be a series on unenjoyable parking...

This was sent to me by one of my loyal army of bad-parkage-spotters a friend. So I can't take all the credit.

But I would just like to point out that the greatest proportion of these gems are from Dickson.

Ah, Dickson - just about everything I hate about Canberra in one crazy suburb.

but but but

Dickson is the only bit of Canberra I know my way around - are you saying the rest of it's different?

I kind of like Dickson. I used to do midnight runs to the 24 hour woolies on my bike at 13 and I spent many a primary school afternoon in the Dickson library (the children's section is so comfy). It is pretty crap, but it contains so many nice memories.

Plus, Au Lac is in Dickson, and I love Au Lac.

I don't see what's so bad about Dickson - besides the lack of (terrible) parking!

Well, I don't like you either.

So Nerrrr.

Well, you're all welcome to it - the depressing architecture, soulless town planning and dangerous drivers.

By the way, Dickson was really mean to me today. No parking, crazy pedestrians, old lady in the checkout queue dumping her potting mix on top of my vegies on the conveyor belt...

I would mark this down to karma, but Dickson's always been like that. And if you think I'm being paranoid in thinking that a suburb is out to get me, I note it has tracked down my blog and is now posting nasty comments!!

dickson is the best part of canberra - irish themed pub in a chinese themed building, canberra's best range of take-aways, foxsports until 5am at the tradies and the best bar in canberra for drinking with the kids and running up big credit card bills

though i admit that the woolies is poorly managed and abusing of their (hopefully temporary) monopoly
