I've just spent a long-weekend in rural Queensland.
Bananas can be had for $1.49 a kilo. Must be God's country.
There are billboards by the side of the highway which say "You are 9 months older than you think - Protect Life." Must be God's country.
So did I ever mention that I love Canberra? Dear God I love Canberra.

hey, c'mon, we aren't all religious bigots. there's a few nutters with the money to pay for billboards, however.
They don't call it the deep north for nothin'...

that blogsearch.sg thing looks really good
you know what makes me sad - when you have a chum who is quietly spoken - one who does not speak a lot, but when they do says stuff worth listening to - ie in contrast to me who does not really filter thoughts before speaking and actively relies on other people to point out the stupidity and unfairness implicit in some of my unfair - perhaps even outrageous - allegations, assertions and generally ridiculous pronouncements - anyway what makes me sad is when i get to catch up with aforementioned thoughtful chum - and i just get all excited and dominate the conversation - as soon as a thought comes into my head, IT MUST BE SPOKEN - that is the rule
stupid rule
anyway that's what makes me sad
queensland always makes me think of that
You didn't happen to go to Toowoomba, did you?
omg. I was just about to ask if you went to Toowoomba as I was there last week (and weekend) and have seen those signs in a few places, generally as you head up the range.
So, are you saying that I've been eighteen for six months already?
Why was I not informed of this?
Beat me to it lala, I was just thinking of them when I read the comment about the bilboard and the whole nine months thing! Crazy Queenslanders.
Wow - so you're telling me more than 3 people on this planet have actually visited Toowoomba?
You learns somthin' new everyday.
Feel for me, i LIVED in Toowoomba, and my family is still there. I now live in Brisbane (in sin with my girlfriend), and it's an exciting adventure to see that a new anti-choice sign is up every time we drive there to visit.
Ha. I LIVED in Toowoomba. I still have family and friends there so visit a couple of times a year.
Those signs make me IRATE.
